MAS DFW Grant Writing Position

Muslim American Society DFW is hiring for a grant writer who will be reporting to the Director of the Fund Development and a key staff member and contributor of the Fund Development Department. In this capacity you will be directly working with the Director of the Fund Development in conducting the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to foundation and corporate sources. Perform prospect research on foundations and corporations to evaluate prospects for corporate and foundation grants. Work with finance to gather information necessary to report to corporate/foundatio n funders on current grant programs. Comply with all grants reporting as required by foundation/corporat e donors. Provide stewardship to current donors, including work with Grants & Research Manager to provide regular written updates (newsletters etc) to corporate and foundation donors. Understanding of institutional history and programs. Make appointments for VP Development and Grants and Research Manager with foundation officers and other prospects, arrange for onsite tours for supporters (foundation officers, foundation trustees). The candidate should be a hard worker, entrepreneurial, energetic, motivated, and flexible and have excellent communication, leadership and team skills. We are looking for a candidate that brings passion to this position.

Relevant Experience: 3+ Years grant writing experience in the United States. Experience in Personal Development (Tarbiya) is a Plus.
