Established in 2001, Alhuda Academy is a Pre-K to 8 fulltime Islamic school. We are situated less than an hour from Boston in Worcester, Massachusetts. The Academy is fully accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). We are committed to excellence in education that builds better citizens and better Muslims. Description of Position
Alhuda Academy seeks a candidate for the position of Principal of the Academy. Our ideal candidate is an excellent manager, communicator, mentor, and counselor. We are looking for an individual who realizes that the principal of an Islamic school is a community leader by default. The candidate must possess strong public relations and networking skills.
Duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for the day-to-day running of the Academy
- Communicate effectively with board of directors
- Maintain school-wide focus on high standards of student achievement
- Mentor and manage staff; coordinate professional development
- Lead school marketing and enrollment efforts
- Maintain regular communication with parents
- Establish strong relationship with Worcester public school district
Compensation & Benefits
We offer a competitive salary package that is commensurate to the candidate’s experience. The package includes family health insurance, free tuition for children who attend the Academy, help with moving expenses (when applicable).
Requirements
· Mater’s in Education
· Certified teacher
· 2 years teaching experience
· 3 years of experience as Principal/Asst. Principal
· Principal license (preferred)
